MyCitiHomes Fostering Transformative Real Estate Synergy at REBAP REAP EXPO 2023

MyCitihomes and the Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines (REBAP) Makati Chapter has just recently concluded The Real Estate Allied Partners (REAP) EXPO 2023. This groundbreaking event took place at Megatrade Hall 1, Building B, SM Megamall, Edsa, Mandaluyong City, from September 8 to 10, 2023.

This three-day event united the real estate community and its allied partners, creating a dynamic platform for industry leaders, real estate professionals, developers, and aspiring students to connect, learn, and thrive through the success in synergy effort from different stakeholders.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was graced by REBAP Chairman Michael Agot, REBAP National President Daisy Villaos of Greenhills, National Chairman Nyre Alcantara, President of REBAP Makati Chapter Dulce Rañosa, along with the esteemed Board of Trustees of Makati Chapter.

OFW Partylist Hon. Cong. Marissa P. Magsino opened the event by encouraging connectivity and collaboration between both public and private organizations alike, leading to an empowered real estate industry. REBAP REAP EXPO 2023 also fuelled the second day with tech updates led by Proptech Founder Emma Imperial and Executive Director AJ Rocero. Financial pillars like the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and telco leader, Smart Communications also geared up to showcase myriad of services that converge to shape the industry’s ever-evolving landscape.

The next generation real estate brokers, salespersons, and students pursuing a Bachelor of Science Major in Real Estate Management also pitched in to the event. Students from esteemed universities such as Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, National University, Philippine Christian University, De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, and Trinity University of Asia cheered their way to the first ever REAP Quiz Bee.

The engaging Quiz Bee, held throughout the event, was a testament to the expo’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of real estate leaders. Students from various universities pursuing a Bachelor of Science Major in Real Estate Management demonstrated their knowledge and determination, solidifying the event’s role in shaping the future of the industry.

The BSREM Students Quiz Bee featured two competitions in the afternoon. The Individual competition saw De La Salle College of Saint Benilde emerge as the top contender, while the final group competition witnessed intense competition, ultimately leading to Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila securing the 3rd runner-up position and De La Salle College of Saint Benilde taking the 2nd runner-up spot. Trinity University of Asia clinched the 1st runner-up position, while the Philippine Christian University earned the title of Champion in the 1st BSREM Students Quiz Bee.

The PRC headed by Chairperson Ofelia Binag made it possible to conduct a Face-to-Face Salesperson Oath Taking and Pinning Ceremony that marked a significant milestone, and unwavering commitment to ethical and professional conduct of Real Estate practice.

Home buyers experience a one-stop stop shopping experience of unique services and opportunities to Learn and Earn. Attendees found relevant answers to property-related queries such as buying, selling and even renting of properties. Legal aid desks were also available to provide valuable assistance and the necessary legal support. A heartfelt acknowledgment goes to legal experts, including Atty. Cherry Vi S. Castillo, Atty. Arlyn De Leon-Gregorio, Atty. Don Gallardo, Atty. Norman B. Calamba, and Atty. Marion Josette B. Calamba.

The expo provided a rare opportunity to connect with brokers from different chapters nationwide, fostering unity and a shared purpose within the industry. Expert lectures delivered real estate valuable insights and fresh perspectives, emphasizing the commitment to continuous education and professional growth.

Notable lectures included “Transit – Oriented Development” by Dr. Nathaniel Von Einsiedel, additionally, Assistant Secretary Edwin Ligot from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) shed light on the digital transformations spearheaded by the government such as e-gov app that simplifies government related processes involved in the real estate ecosystem thus making every transaction faster, easier and secured.

REBAP REAP EXPO 2023 emerged as a transformative force in the real estate sector. It not only facilitated crucial networking opportunities but also provided a fertile ground for learning, collaboration, and growth. Homeowners, home buyers, salespersons, students, brokers, developers, and all allied partners departed with newfound knowledge, connections, and inspiration, making it evident that this event will leave an enduring mark on the future of real estate in the Philippines.
